Call to action.
Hi Dian,

Only two lessons remaining in your Landing Page Optimization Course by Peep Laja from ConversionXL.
The web is filled with bad calls to action (CTA). That's because most people don't think for themselves; they copy others or just don't know any better.
HERE ARE SOME CTAS YOU'LL RECOGNIZE
  • Submit. Nobody wants to submit. They may want to subscribe to a newsletter, send a message, or post a question – but definitely not submit. The CTA name should coincide with the specific action. What happens when they click? If they sign up, make "sign up" the call to action.
  • Read more. About what? Make it specific – what's hidden behind the link.
  • Next. What comes next? I don't know. This causes click fear. Instead of vague words, provide a brief but meaningful explanation of what happens next.
CONCLUSION
Make your CTA text clear. Use trigger words. Go easy on the commitment. Provide an incentive for taking action.

ON THE
COMMITMENT.
PROVIDE AN INCENTIVE FOR
TAKING ACTION.
