We're pleased to announce a big update to the game with some long-awaited improvements.
First of all, we've added a lot of tactical options to the match engine. You can now add an extra defender or attacker depending on the match score and you can set a match plan to let your players know what kind of result you expect from the match. We've also increased the number of goals a little and reduced the randomness in international matches.
We're excited to see how these changes will influence the coming seasons. We're confident that this will favor the tactical masterminds among us while not making the game unnecessarily complicated for the more casual player.
We've also updated some of the financial formula's to improve aspects of the game that over time lost touch with other developments. You can read more about that on our forum.
Finally, we're working on a project to recycle some of the smaller countries. Last season we've had a big poll to learn the opinion of managers in small countries with little or no newcomers. We've decided that we will terminate many of these leagues, letting the managers in those countries pick a new (small) country without losing any of their progress. Season 25 will be the last full season for these countries. During this season all teams in those countries can pick a new league where they want to move to at the end of the season. At the end of the season, the selected countries are reset. Later, we will be restarting these countries one by one to offer new managers a chance to start fresh with an equal start compared to the other managers in that country. This will apply mostly to countries in Africa and the Caribbeans.
If your country is going to be reset you will have a big notification on the home page after logging in where you can pick a new country. If you haven't seen the poll last season this is probably not something that will affect you though.
