The study was published last week in the BMJ medical journal. It found that the Mediterranean diet is associated with longer telomere length, a marker of slower aging.
The Meditteranean diet consists of vegetables, fish, fruit, nuts, legumes, olive oil, unrefined grains and moderate alcohol with meals.
